What Is Scouts BSA?

Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting program for boys and girls aged 11-17 years old. It is one of the oldest youth organizations in the United States, where young people can participate in various outdoor activities like camping, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and much more! At Scouts BSA, we aim to teach young people charactor development, leadership, good citizenship, and mental and physical fitness.

The Troop 909 Family

We have a Troop for boys (0909) and a Troop for Girls (8909) and a Venturing Crew (909). We run our Joint Troops closely to provide a wide range of activities for all Scouts! Venturing Crew is a co-ed troop for Scouts 14-18. Some of our Scouts do both!

Wait! There is more!

For over 100 years, our program has helped create generations of leaders and outstanding citizens by allowing boys and girls to explore their interests, serve their communities, and discover their talents through youth-led activities like hiking, camping, and volunteering!

Advancements

We enourage our Scouts to learn practical skills and use them in real world situations. We reward them for their hard work with recognized Ranks and Merit Badges!

Leadership Training

Scouts BSA is known world wide for producing leaders in our communities. Our tried and true leadership opportunities and training help our youth to know the value of ethical leadership.

Service Projects

We aprticipate in BIG community projects that promote environmental conservation, public service, and enhance our community right here in Woodinville!
